My Priorities

I want to be part of sustaining and enhancing a first-class, equitable public education system in San Carlos that ensures opportunity for all children. As a school district board member, I will serve as a champion for public education and advocate for the resources we need to help every child reach their full potential.

As a member of the governing board, I will draw from my years of experience as a nonprofit executive to wisely manage the public funds in our district. Whether it is providing governance for the new universal meals program or overseeing the transition to being a community-funded district, I promise to listen to community funding priorities and make judicious choices about how to allocate resources. I am excited to support the district as they embark on a new Strategic Plan and Facilities Master Plan.

Universal preschool for all three and four year olds is within reach in San Carlos! With leadership from the school district and partnership with community-based preschool providers, our community can ensure that there is a preschool space that meets each family's needs. The benefits of early childhood education are well documented and range from closing achievement gaps to reduced need for supportive services and higher life-time earnings.
